UPDATE, 5:24 p.m.: Police identified the man as 48-year-old Mohit K. Lal Bhatnagar, of Potomac.
ORIGINAL POST, 2:03 p.m.: A man was killed when he was tossed from his motorcycle and struck a car in Rockville on Tuesday.
The collision happened on West Montgomery Avenue near Hurley Avenue at about 10:40 a.m., accoriding to Montgomery County police. The motorcyclist was somehow thrown from his 2008 Kawasaki and hit a Nissan Versa.
The man was taken to Suburban Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name was not released because his family is still being notified.
The Nissan driver was unharmed and stayed at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation and anyone with information can call police at 301-840-2435.
