A suspected methamphetamine lab was found in a dorm room at Georgetown University early Saturday morning. Three students have been arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Georgetown security responded to a report of a suspicious smell at Harbin Hall, on the 3700 block of O Street NW, at about 6 a.m., according to Pete Piringer, spokesman for D.C. fire and emergency services.
Authorities found chemicals but no completed drugs in a dorm room, Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman Istmania Bonilla said. Bonilla said the three people arrested are adult men. Their names and ages were not available.
Piringer said seven people were evaluated for exposure to the chemicals, but no one was taken to a hospital for further treatment.
