Donald Trump has narrowed his search for a running mate down to two men, according to a CNN reporter who spoke with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich late Wednesday.
Gingrich and Indiana Gov. Mike Pence have made the top two, knocking out N.J. Gov. Chris Christie, Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn and Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions.
After talking to Trump, Newt says it’s down to him and Pence as VP. Trump has two “really good but really different choices,” Newt says.

Christie was among the first politicians to endorse Trump. The former U.S. attorney general may be hoping to succeed Attorney General Loretta Lynch if Trump wins in November, considering his background as a prosecutor.
