Biden to Clinton: Thanks but no thanks

Vice President Joe Biden reaffirmed Friday that he does not want a formal role in a would-be Hillary Clinton administration Thursday after a report surfaced that her campaign aides want him to be her secretary of state.

“I’ll do anything I can if Hillary’s elected to help her, but I don’t want to remain in the administration,” Biden told a local TV station in Duluth, Minn., where he was campaigning for Democratic Rep. Rick Nolan.

Biden last month told Stat the same thing.

“I’m not going to stay on in the administration,” he said in a Sept. 16 interview.

“Earlier Friday, the Washington Examiner reported that Biden’s post-administration plans will focus mainly on continuing to promote cancer research and would not consist of a formal high-profile official role in national politics.”
