Don’t freak out just let. While some of the hottest names in Hollywood have been associated with the lead role in the film adaptation of “50 Shades of Grey,” nothing has been settled as of yet. But Niall Leonard, husband of series author E.L. James, said that “last he heard,” Ryan Gosling was slated to play Christian Grey. Matt Bomer, Wes Bentley, Chris Pine, Chris Hemsworth, Henry Cavill, Ian Somerhalder and Alexander Skarsgard are some of the other names that have been tossed around in the media, but Leonard told a UK magazine he thought Gosling was “was in the frame to play the manipulative billionaire.” Focus Features and Universal Pictures bought the rights to the book series back in March.
