Donald Trump is likely to announce his running mate next week.
An anonymous Trump aide told CNN the presumed Republican presidential nominee will make the vice president announcement ahead of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
Over the weekend, Trump met with Iowa Sen. Joni Ernst and Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, fueling speculation the two are at the top of his shortlist.
Trump praised Ernst on Twitter a day after their meeting in New Jersey, saying they will meet again soon.
Other possible running mates named in the CNN report include New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton and Tennessee Sen. Bob Corker.
The GOP convention starts July 18.
