Donald Trump blasted Hillary Clinton for labeling him as a man who has gone “off the reservation.” The GOP presidential front-runner said Clinton’s remark was both an insult to Native Americans and an attack on men.
“Her first statement about the reservation, aside from being a put-down to Native Americans very strongly — but forgetting about that — it was a very derogatory statement to men,” Trump told Fox News’ Sean Hannity Monday. “It was almost as though she’s going to tell us what to do, tell men what to do.”
Last week, Trump accused the Democratic front-runner of “playing the women’s card.” Clinton responded on CNN, saying if supporting women and families is playing that card, then “deal me in.” In addition, the former secretary of state said she was experienced with “men who go off the reservation in the way they behave and how they speak.”
Trump claimed Monday Clinton’s remarks were not critiqued like his and railed against the media’s overlooking her attacks against two demographic groups.
“If I were to make that statement or if somebody else were to make that statement, it would be a big headline. She got away with it or I don’t know, maybe she didn’t get away with it,” Trump added.
The New York businessman remained adamant that Clinton would have only raked in 5 percent of the vote if she was a man.
