Will pop princess Britney Spears fill one of the open judge seats on “The X Factor?”
According to People magazine, last month, judge and show creator Simon Cowell played coy about the rumors that Brit would join the show.
But now, a source is telling the mag that “there have been talks” with the singer and her team.
“Anything is possible,” another source said. “I’ve heard they are in negotiations.”
Since Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger were let go as judges in January, there has been much speculation on who will fill their seats. Janet Jackson, Katy Perry and Avril Lavigne have all been rumored picks, but Avril tells people she’s not interested.
“I’m making a record. I want to make movies,” she said earlier this week. “No, it’s not happening.”
Simon is keeping mum for the most part on who his picks will be, though he’s been dropping hints.
“You’ll have to wait and see,” he told “Good Day New York,” adding that a “very famous singer” and a “very famous actress” have emerged as potential judges.
“The truth is, we are talking to a number of people,” he said. “It changes on a daily basis, to be honest with you.”
Simon says he’s flattered by all the interest surrounding his decision and has told reporters, “I’ve learned a big lesson: Keep your mouth shut. Don’t give it all away.”
Is Bobbi dating her ‘adopted’ bro?
Well this is out of left field. ABCNews.com and TMZ are reporting that Bobbi Kristina Brown is dating (and possibly engaged to) her “adopted” brother, Nick Gordon.
Bobbi’s mom, Whitney Houston, never formally adopted Nick, but according to TMZ, she took him in when he was 12 years old after his mother was unable to care for him.
Bobbi K, 19, and Nick, 22, allegedly refer to each other as brother and sister and he currently resides at the Houston family home in Atlanta, according to ABC.
TMZ is reporting that Bobbi’s grandmother, Cissy Houston, is outraged and is trying to take legal action to get Nick evicted from the house. Cissy has allegedly spoken out about her disapproval of the relationship before, but is now calling it “incestuous.”
Rihanna talks Chris Brown
Rihanna went on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show Thursday to discuss why she did musical collaborations with the man who violently assaulted her three years ago.
RiRi told Ryan that she reached out to Chris Brown to join her on “Birthday Cake” because he was “the only person that really made sense to do the record — just as a musician. Despite everything else.”
She added, “You know, I thought about rappers, [but] the hottest R&B artist out right now is Chris Brown. So I wanted him on the track.”
People were shocked when the two singers collaborated on not one, but two songs recently and it has only fueled the rumors that the pair have been secretly hooking up for more than a year.
