Huck and Chuck

Definitely the most entertaining ad yet to emerge from the 2008 cycle…

Continetti says “this ad represents both the good and the bad about Huckabee: It’s funny and fresh, but in terms of substance it’s lighter than air.” Maybe, but Continetti underestimates the importance of Huckabee’s position on gun control–and the fact that he’s gotten Chuck Norris to vouch for him on the issue (and his wife, who is certainly in good standing with the NRA). This sets up a nice contrast with Giuliani, who still has a long way to go before convincing Second Amendment voters that he’s changed his ways. But Huckabee may be in trouble if the Cardinal is correct about the origins of the “Mitt Romney Hearts Satan” push-polling mess.
