Priebus: GOP convention ‘not disorganized,’ just ‘different’

Republican National Committee Reince Priebus Sunday dismissed concerns that the convention in Cleveland is in disarray amid lingering questions over safety at the event.

“It’s not disorganized, I think it’s just different,” Priebus said during an appearance on “Fox News Sunday.”

Priebus refused to reveal the identity of the convention’s keynote speaker but said Donald Trump would do so later Sunday. “Donald Trump and his campaign know how to put on a show, [and] they’re going to do it,” Priebus said.

The RNC chairman said thousands of police officers from around the country were heading to Cleveland to provide security for the convention. “Every convention has its share of problems and protests,” Priebus admitted. “We’ve taken extra precautions.”
