President Trump spoke out in defense of a particular conservative Twitter user on Saturday: James Woods.
Trump described the Hollywood actor as a “strong but responsible Conservative Voice,” as he argued against Twitter’s action against Woods. Woods’ Twitter account is still visible on the site, but the company has reportedly locked him of it.
How can it be possible that James Woods (and many others), a strong but responsible Conservative Voice, is banned from Twitter? Social Media & Fake News Media, together with their partner, the Democrat Party, have no idea the problems they are causing for themselves. VERY UNFAIR!

Trump wasn’t the only Republican politician to defend Woods on Saturday. Sen. Ted Cruz lent his voice to Woods’ cause.
“How is it that @RealJamesWoods is currently being banned on Twitter, but @JimCarrey is not? It’s certainly not any standard based on ‘hate.’ Carrey’s latest Twitter ‘art’ shows Bill Barr drowning in a sea of vomit,” the Texas senator said, referring to comedian Jim Carrey’s posting of political-themed paintings on the social media service.

The tweets come after a morning in which Trump tweeted against Facebook’s recent action to remove extremists such as Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and Infowars host Alex Jones from its platform, saying Facebook and Twitter are stifling conservative voices and should instead discipline mainstream media organizations such as CNN and the New York Times, both frequent targets of Trump’s ire.
Trump also retweeted a number of other Twitter users opposed to the ban, including conspiracy theorist and Infowars contributor Paul Joseph Watson, who was also banned by Facebook. Trump has long criticized how both Facebook and Twitter have treated conservatives.
NBC reporter Ben Collins reported that Woods remains locked out of his account because he won’t delete a tweet that references hanging. A review of Woods’ recent tweets visible on the site does not show one with that language.
