New Jersey Republican Rep. Jeff Van Drew says his split from the Democratic Party went smoothly.

“It’s been civil. My [Democratic] friends have been fine,” Van Drew told the Washington Examiner on Thursday after meeting at the White House with President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence, along with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California.
