Meghan McCain urges people to share their #deaddadstories to mark Father’s Day

Meghan McCain, TV talk show host and daughter of the late John McCain, urged her Twitter followers Wednesday to share stories about their dead fathers for Father’s Day.

“Anyone else out there who is dreading Father’s Day this Sunday — I feel you, and have been trying to come up with something positive to do Sunday,” McCain tweeted. “So, I want you to feel free to share #deaddadsclub stories on my timeline and I will share it. Maybe we will all feel less alone?”

John McCain died in August 2018 after battling an aggressive brain tumor a year before. His daughter has since become a very outspoken critic of President Trump, who has made clear his dislike for the former Arizona senator.

During Trump’s recent trip to Japan, the USS John S. McCain was reportedly ordered “out of sight” during the presidential visit, which sparked outrage.

Meghan has served as the 21st co-host of “The View” since 2017.
