Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones warned any player who disrespects the flag by kneeling during the national anthem won’t play.
“If there is anything disrespecting the flag, then we will not play. Period,” Jones said Sunday, according to the Dallas Morning News. “We’re going to respect the flag and I’m going to create the perception of it.”

Jones said the Dallas Cowboys would stand for the flag.
“We’re going to do that. It’s the rules that are on the book in my opinion,” he said.
Jerry Jones: “We cannot in anyway give the implication that we tolerate disrespecting the flag. We know that there is a serious debate in this country about those issues, but there is no question in my mind, that the [NFL] and the Dallas Cowboys are going to stand up for the flag

Jerry Jones: “But let me be real, real clear the thing that the National Football League needs to do and the Dallas Cowboys are going to do is stand for the flag. We’re going to do that. It’s the rules that are on the book in my opinion.”

The entire Dallas Cowboys team took a knee last month before the national anthem at their game against the Arizona Cardinals. The team stood for the national anthem.
Player protests against police brutality were pushed back into the forefront last month when Trump railed against player who knelt during the national anthem, calling for them to be fired.
Vice President Pence left Sunday’s game between the Indianapolis Colt’s and the San Francisco 49ers, saying he was disgusted by the players who took a knee during the national anthem.
Trump later took credit for Pence’s departure, saying he asked his vice president to leave the game if protests happened during the anthem.
