USDA slightly reduces nation’s corn yield forecast

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — The U.S. Department of Agriculture slightly lowered its forecast for the nation’s drought-damaged corn crop in its monthly report released Wednesday, pegging the average yield per acre at its lowest point since 1995.
