‘She should be voting for Joe’: Trump mocks Carly Fiorina over plans to cast ballot for Biden

President Trump ridiculed former presidential candidate Carly Fiorina for revealing her plans to vote for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

“Failed presidential candidate (thank you President Trump!), Carly Fiorina, said she will be voting for Corrupt Joe Biden. She lost so badly to me, twice in one campaign, that she should be voting for Joe. No complaints!!!” Trump tweeted on Thursday.

Fiorina announced in May that she would not be voting for Trump this November and added on Thursday that she would instead cast her ballot for Biden. She noted that the election would be the first time in her life that she votes for a Democratic candidate.

“I’ve been very clear that I can’t support Donald Trump. And elections are binary choices,” Fiorina said.

“As citizens, our vote is more than a check on a box. You know, it’s a statement about where we want to go, and I think what we need now actually is real leadership that can unify the country,” she added. “I am encouraged that Joe Biden is a person of humility and empathy and character. I think he’s demonstrated that through his life. And I think we need humility and empathy everywhere in public life right now. And I think character counts.”

Fiorina and Trump feuded throughout the 2016 election, during which Trump mocked her looks, saying: “Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!” Shortly after Fiorina dropped out in 2016, she jumped onto Texas Sen. Ted Cruz’s ticket as running mate in a last-ditch effort to stop Trump from becoming the Republican nominee.
