President Trump told congressional Republican leaders the tax reform bill ought to be officially named “The Cut, Cut, Cut Act,” according to a report published Wednesday afternoon.
The proposal is scheduled to be released Thursday and the name of the legislation has yet to be shared as the GOP makes final changes.
Lawmakers, including House Speaker Paul Ryan and members of the House Ways and Means Committee are said to still be undecided on a name for the bill, but the committee will ultimately decide on one, ABC reported.
Ryan had originally asked Trump to name the bill, but later pushed back against Trump’s “cut cut cut” title.
