Report: Trump adviser Anthony Scaramucci to take senior White House role

President-elect Trump will name Anthony Scaramucci, an economic adviser to his transition and a Goldman Sachs alumus, to a senior position at the White House.

Scaramucci could take over the White House Office of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs, the Washington Post reported on Thursday. That office could receive a new name in the Trump administration to fit the role outlined for Scaramucci, which will reportedly include outreach to the financial and technology industries.

The incoming West Wing staffer founded a hedge fund called Skybridge Capital and hosted a show on Fox Business before joining the Trump team, where he became a trusted voice on the economy.

A spokesman for the Trump transition did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
