KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A campaign promoting healthy eating will get its official start Thursday at the Tennessee 4-H All-Star Conference at the University of Tennessee.
More than 400 4-H youth leaders will help launch the Eat4-Health campaign. The National 4-H Council and UnitedHealthCare are sponsors in the project.
The 400 also will participate in a group exercise. Sponsors said the campaign was sparked by the country’s obesity problem.
UnitedHealthCare has awarded grants to several Tennessee counties to support the effort.
