Worker files sexual harassment suit against Carroll plant

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed a lawsuit Tuesday against a Carroll County cement company on behalf of an former female laborer, claiming sexual harassment.

Amanda Stevens, who worked at Lehigh Cement Co. from 2001 until last year, repeatedly complained to management about the treatment she endured from truck driver Darin Martz and other colleagues, but the harassment intensified, according to the complaint filed in federal court against the plant, a fixture in the small town of Union Bridge for decades.
