‘Exceptional leader’: Army identifies Green Beret killed in parachuting accident

The Army identified the soldier killed Tuesday in a parachuting accident as Master Sgt. Nathan Goodman, a highly decorated Green Beret who spent nearly 18 years in the military.

Goodman, 36, was killed during a free fall parachuting accident outside Eloy, Arizona. He was an operations team sergeant for the Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha. Details surrounding his death remain unclear as the military continues its investigation.
