They should have had a bigger boat.
A family in Australia had a terrifying day on the water when an estimated 14-foot great white shark began circling the boat.
The encounter continued for over an hour, with the shark even taking a few bites out of the boat’s motor, according to footage posted of the incident.

“We had a big visitor from the deep come up, nice size … white pointer,” David Tuckfield, who was fishing with his wife and teenage son, said.
The large predator swam up to his family’s 24-foot boat and went after his son’s catch, he said.
“He tried to take a chunk out of the motor — we were mesmerized,” Tuckfield said.
The veteran fisherman said he had never seen a shark of that size.
His wife, Tanya, can be heard screaming as the shark rises from the water with its mouth open.
The whole ordeal lasted a little over an hour and ended with the “big majestic creature” swimming away, a report noted.

“We don’t appreciate them until you see them up close, and it is their playground,” Tuckfield said.
