Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is receiving pushback for celebrating the NFL’s Buffalo Bills’ victory on Sunday after saying he would discuss the shooting at Bondi Beach in Australia.
Sunday’s shooting saw two gunmen open fire on a Jewish event in Bondi Beach, killing at least 15 people on the first day of Hanukkah. Schumer said he would address the shooting during his press conference, which was being held to address alleged price gouging by Instacart through artificial intelligence.
