Brand-building the Eisner way

Eisner Communications has acquired some large clients over the years.

The Maryland State Lottery, the National Aquarium in Baltimore and Provident Bank are just a few of the names on the marketing and communications firm?s resume. Handling high profile clients can be a tricky task, but the firm, which is currently 82 employees strong, is all about respect for the client?s audience.

“The people that our clients need to talk to are a cynical kind of bunch; nobody gets up in the morning and says, ?I?m dying to see that new billboard over [Interstate] 83,? ” Eisner Communications President and CEO Jeremy Clark said. “You have to amuse, entertain and inform, you have to respectful of your audience.”

“In terms of where we are, we believe in research. We?ve got some very smart thinkers who do a serious amount of digging and interrogating the client?s product,” he continued. “You get some kind of hook that differentiates it from other products like it. You find the gold and hand it to creative folks who come up with something that makes it entertaining so that people gravitate towards the brand.”

Provident Bank has been a client of Eisner Communications since the end of December 2005. “We actually engaged in an extensive review process that included over a dozen ad agencies in Maryland, D.C. and Virginia,” Nancy Alperstein, Provident Bank senior vice president for corporate advertising and communications, said. “During the review process, Eisner Communications produced outstanding and creative work that we thought would help take Provident to the next level.”
