D.C. plans equipment test for April 3 primary

Ahead of the District’s primary on April 3, the city’s elections board on Saturday will publicly test voting equipment and the software used to count ballots.

The board will stage the test at 10:30 a.m. in Room 280 North of One Judiciary Square in Northwest.

Officials will also distribute badges for election observers and poll watchers.

Major races on the April 3 ballot, depending on the place of a voter’s residence in the city and party affiliation, include the Republican presidential primary and Democratic primaries for an at-large seat on the D.C. Council, along with seats in Ward 4, Ward 7 and Ward 8.
