It comes as Biden prepares to deliver a prime-time address on Thursday from Philadelphia’s Independence National Historical Park, where he is expected to frame November’s midterm elections as “the continued battle for the soul of the nation,” according to the White House.

“He will speak about how the core values of this nation, our standing in the world, our democracy, are at stake,” the official said. “He will make clear who is fighting for those rights, fighting for those freedoms, and fighting for our democracy.”
