Donald Trump’s personal jet has been grounded

Federal officials have forbid Donald Trump from using his personal jet until it’s been re-registered with the Federal Aviation Administration.

According to a statement released Wednesday, FAA inspectors have reached out to the pilot of Trump’s business jet to request that its registration, which expired in January, be renewed.

The billionaire is reportedly “working with the FAA’s aircraft registry and will re-register the aircraft before further flight,” the statement said.

In addition to his Boeing 757, Trump has frequently used the aircraft to travel to and from his campaign rallies across the U.S. As recently as Wednesday morning, Trump flew to a campaign event in Indianapolis, Ind., on one of his private jets.

As previously reported by the Washington Examiner, Trump’s Cessna jet could remain grounded up to several months depending on how long its renewed registration takes to process.

In the meantime, the Manhattan businessman has his royal blue and red 757 — dubbed “Trump Force One” by his supporters —– and three helicopters at his disposal.

A spokeswoman for the Trump campaign did not return the Examiner’s request for comment.
