‘FBI, open the door! FBI warrant!: Armed agents in riot gear arrested Roger Stone in pre-dawn raid

About a dozen FBI agents in riot gear arrived at former Donald Trump associate Roger Stone’s house before dawn Friday morning to arrest him.

Agents arrived in vehicles that had lights flashing but without using any siren, approached the house, and demanded entry.

“FBI, open the door!” a man said while banging on Stone’s door in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. “FBI, warrant!”

CNN was the only news network present to capture the event. Soon after the FBI knocked, Stone was arrested by armed FBI agents pursuant to a Thursday indictment by special counsel Robert Mueller.

The seven counts in the 24-page indictment accuse Stone of making false claims to Congress, witness tampering, and obstruction of justice.

Stone is accused of lying to Congress about his attempt to learn more about the Democratic National Committee emails that WikiLeaks was releasing in 2016, and whether any of those emails could be used by the Trump campaign against Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
