At least two law enforcement officers in Buffalo, New York, were injured Monday evening when a vehicle drove into a crowd of dozens of police officers and state troopers.
A video shot by an onlooker near the East Buffalo Police District Headquarters shows dozens of law enforcement officers rushing protesters who were standing in the street at around 10 p.m. EST. The uniformed officers can be seen suddenly jumping out of the way as a vehicle sped into them. At least one officer was run over by the vehicle before it sped off.
Police were seen pulling two officers from the street as others kept a lookout in the area as they waited for medical first responders to arrive.

Reports indicated that a New York state trooper and a local police officer were taken to the hospital. They are reportedly in stable condition, and the driver and the passengers of the vehicle are in custody.
Protesters organized in Buffalo’s Niagara Square earlier on Monday after a week of demonstrations began across the country in response to the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man, in police custody last week. Some of the protests have turned violent as people began looting, rioting, and clashing with police.
