Chelsea Handler trolls Trump’s Liberty University speech

Liberal comedian Chelsea Handler used President Trump’s recent words to college graduates to dredge up the Trump University scandal.

“If I give you one message to hold in your hearts today, it’s this: never, ever give up,” Trump said during his commencement address at Liberty University Saturday.

Handler used the quote to draw attention to a judge approving a $25 million settlement in late March over Trump University lawsuits.

“Trump urged Liberty University graduates to ‘never, ever, ever give up.’ Trump University students never gave up and got $25 million,” Handler tweeted Monday.

The president’s quote echoed that of Liberty University’s founder, the late Rev. Jerry Falwell, who often told students to never quit, Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. said during the school’s commencement exercises Saturday.

In the past year, Handler has taken shots at the Trump family over social media. She posed with Nordstrom bags in front of the White House as it was announced in February that the retail store would no longer be carrying her clothing line. She also hit Eric Trump over the announcement that he and wife Lara are expecting their first child in September.

She also made waves in January when she announced her refusal to interview Melania Trump, telling reporters “she can barely speak English.”
