For many families, the stuffing on Thanksgiving isn’t just reserved for stomachs or side dishes — it’s also what happens to homes on Thanksgiving night as food-coma-induced relatives curl up for the night on extra beds, couches or even the floor.
To that end, Bethesda-based Marriott’s SpringHill Suites is launching a contest where Thanksgiving weekend travelers can submit a video plea making the case why they need free hotel rooms this season. Marriott will select three winners for a grand prize of two SpringHill Suites rooms at a location of their choice for four nights during the holiday. They’ll also get a $150 Amex gift card.
The contest is open through Oct. 31 and the public will vote on the best videos the following week. A panel of judges will choose the final three winners out of 10 finalists determined by the votes. Winners will be announced Nov. 10.
