VIDEO — Weekly Examiner: The lead up to the State of the Union

The Republican-led House of Representatives this week voted to approve legislation that will overturn President Obama’s immigration actions from last November. House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, said that they do not take this action lightly and that the executive overreach is an affront to the rule of law.

In the lead up to the State of the Union address on Jan. 20, Obama paid a visit to Cedar Falls, Iowa, to layout a plan to make it easier for rural communities to offer cheap broadband Internet service to their citizens.

British Prime Minister David Cameron made a trip to the White House Friday to meet with President Obama. The two are said to be teaming up to combat cyberattacks and working together to fight terrorism.
