‘I’m sure he’s smoking a ton of weed’: Tucker Carlson blasts ‘incompetent’ de Blasio response to coronavirus

Fox News host Tucker Carlson criticized New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio for threatening to arrest Jewish New Yorkers.

Carlson took aim at de Blasio on Wednesday, after the mayor showed “hostile” rhetoric toward Jewish New Yorkers while allowing the subway to “completely fall apart.”

“It’s essentially a moving homeless encampment,” Carlson began, before interviewing City Journal’s Seth Barron.

“De Blasio is spiraling down. The city is in tremendous stress. As you pointed out, the subways are effectively a overflow capacity for the homeless shelter system. The subways are so out of control with homeless people, that his only solution right now is to shut the subways down at night to force them off. That’s an utter failure,” Barron said. “De Blasio’s legacy is crumbling in front of him.”

Barron agreed with Carlson that the New York mayor was pointing fingers in an attempt to shift blame from the city’s malfunctioning social services. “Every morning, he gives these long, hour-long inspirational speeches that no one is listening to. He thinks he’s FDR giving fireside chats.”

Carlson speculated that de Blasio was smoking “a ton of weed,” and that his ideas are “mediocre, dumb, and incompetent.”

De Blasio took to Twitter on Tuesday to threaten “the Jewish community” with arrests should any of them gather in “large groups.” The metropolitan mayor claimed the threat was about “stopping this disease and saving lives.”
