Days of Our Lives actor found safe after going missing in Hawaii


A Days of Our Lives actor and his roommate are safe and have been located after going missing in Hawaii, according to a post from his roommate’s sister.

In an update, Emma Dizdari said the duo is “okay” and explained that they had gotten lost on a hike. The two made their way back to their car and headed back to the resort, she added.

James Lastovic, 27, played the character Joey Johnson on the daytime soap opera between 2015 and 2017, and again in 2020. He also featured in the Netflix show Insatiable as Christian Keene.

According to a post from his mother, Lucienne Lastovic, her son and his roommate Nevin Dizdari, 26, sought information about Kokee State Park and a cliff diving area at Shipwreck Beach from their hostess on the island shortly before going missing.

The two were expected to return their rental car and fly home on Oct. 10 but did not do either.

Before the update on the pair being located, the last time they were seen was at 8 a.m. on Oct. 9 by hostess Carrie Flanders at the Hanalei Bay Resort, Lastovic said. And the last time they were heard from was at 1:30 p.m. when they sent a text to Flanders.
