US strikes terror group in Somalia under new authorities

U.S. forces struck the al-Shabaab terrorist group in Somalia on Sunday, according to U.S. Africa Command.

It was the most recent attack since President Trump delegated more authority to commanders on the ground. AFRICOM did not immediately report casualties, intended targets or the precise location of the strike around 7:30 a.m.
