Is this the final chapter in the long, tumultuous saga of Rihanna and Chris Brown?
Probably not. But it looks like, for now, the two are no longer in contact.
After Chris released a freestyle version of Kanye West’s “Way Too Cold,” containing some questionable lyrics, Rihanna unfollowed her former beau on Twitter. Hours later, Chris returned the favor.
It’s been a roller coaster ride ever since these two initially hooked up. After dating for over a year, Chris assaulted his then-girlfriend before the 2009 Grammy Awards. He was arrested, slapped with a restraining order and given community service.
Three years later, Chris was again the talk of the Grammys when he performed twice at the award show, the first time since his felony assault.
Not long after, RiRi and Breezy were rumored to be secretly hooking up — even though Chris had been linked to aspiring model Karrueche Tran.
Then, the two shocked everyone when they collaborated on two songs, fueling the rumors of their romantic reconciliation.
But Chris’ latest stunt, singing lyrics that are inappropriate for this page, but include “Shook the tree like a pumpkin just to smash her,” might have been the last straw for the “We Found Love” singer.
Since she quickly unfollowed Chris on Twitter, it’s leading many to assume she believes the lyrics are about her.
After Chris unfollowed back, he tweeted: “Assumptions! I didn’t say any names so if u took offense to it then it’s something you feel guilty about.”
Stay classy, Chris.
