‘You rock!’: Jake Tapper tells disabled social media star to ignore the haters

CNN host Jake Tapper shared some encouraging words with a disabled social media star who asked people to stop bullying him about his feet.

Damion Gross posted a video Monday on Twitter revealing something that has increasingly bothered him: people making rude comments about his feet.

“I’ve been getting very, very mean comments,” Gross began. “Basically, people have been talking about my toes and how they look. It’s just been getting to me because that’s just a big, big insecurity of mine. It’s already tough enough, you know, putting myself out online, showing myself to the world.”

“I don’t care if you talk about my disability, but when you come for my toes … it’s a really, really big insecurity of mine,” Gross said. “Every time I refresh my feed or my page, somebody is talking about it, and I would really appreciate it if y’all would stop.”

Tapper commented on the emotional video, encouraging Gross to ignore and block the bullies.

“Damion — anyone picking on you is a jerk and should be muted or blocked immediately. Lots of people come on twitter because they’re so miserable, the only way they can feel good about themselves is to be mean. It’s strange, I know. But don’t let it get you down! You rock!!!” Tapper said.
