Paul Reed Smith Guitars, a Maryland-based electric guitar maker, received a $10 million private equity bond from the Department of Business and Economic Development to expand in Stevensville.
The company will use the bond to fund an 84,000-square-foot addition on its 25,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in the Chesapeake Bay Business Park. The expansion is expected to create 60 new jobs, bringing PRS’s employment to more than 250 employees.
Paul Reed Smith started the business in Bowie in 1975 before moving to Annapolis and eventually Stevensville.
