The pro-Trump Breitbart News website harshly criticized the president after his speech Monday night in which he indicated the U.S. was committing more troops to the war in Afghanistan, just days after the site was back under the leadership of former White House senior adviser Steve Bannon.

Breitbart’s homepage ran the blaring headlines: “Trump Reverses Course, Will Send More Troops to Afghanistan” and “Trump’s ‘America First’ Base Unhappy with Flip-Flop Afghanistan Speech.”
