President Trump sparred with debate moderator Chris Wallace early in Tuesday’s presidential debate on the topic of healthcare.
“First of all, I guess I’m debating you, not him,” Trump told Wallace in response to a question about healthcare in which the Fox News anchor referred to Trump’s recent executive order on healthcare as “largely symbolic.” “That’s OK. I’m not surprised.”

“There’s nothing symbolic,” Trump continued before touting his administration’s slashing of drug prices and defiance of Big Pharma.
Trump and Wallace also sparred over Obamacare and Trump’s move to eliminate the individual mandate.
“That is absolutely a big thing,” Trump said about removing the mandate as Wallace pressed him over what his comprehensive healthcare plan would be in his second term.
Chris Wallace: “You have promised to repeal and replace Obamacare. But you have never in these four years come up with a comprehensive plan to replace Obamacare—”
Pres. Trump: “Of course I have. We got rid of the individual mandate.”

Wallace, who wrote the debate questions, said before the debate that his goal on Tuesday night was to be as “invisible as possible.”
