The National Republican Congressional Committee is making clear that it hopes to make inroads in Northeastern districts in 2022.
On Wednesday, the group launched digital, radio, and billboard ads targeting five vulnerable Democrats in the region, with attacks ranging from highlighting personal scandals and disruptive environmental projects to tax hikes.
“This is a warning to every vulnerable Democrat in the Northeast: Their socialist agenda will cost them their jobs in 2022,” said Minnesota Rep. Tom Emmer, the chairman of the NRCC. “House Republicans are on offense throughout the country and will ensure voters have a clear understanding of Democrats’ damaging socialist policies.”
Republicans need to win a net of five seats in 2022 in order to win back the House majority.
