P.G. man charged with killing his cousin
A Prince George’s County man was arrested Friday in the death of his 69-year-old cousin, according to county police.
Francis Washington Jr., 57, was charged with first-degree murder for the shooting death of his cousin, Thomas Francis Washington, in Brandywine on Thursday.
Officers found Thomas suffering from gunshot wounds inside a home on the 11100 block of Cross Road Trail at approximately 4:32 p.m. Thursday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the cousins got into an argument over a spare tire.
D.C. police looking for sexual assault suspect
District police are asking for help in identifying a suspect who sexually assaulted a victim in Southeast D.C. on Thursday.
Police say a woman was walking along the 1900 block of 18th Street SE shortly before 5 a.m. when a man approached her with a handgun demanding money. The assailant took her money, sexually assaulted her, then escorted her to a nearby ATM and forced her to withdraw more cash.
The subject, who police describe as a 25- to 30-year-old black male with a slim build and dreadlocks, was last seen walking on the 1300 block of Good Hope Road SE.

Man shot at vigil in P.G.
A man shot Friday night at a vigil for a cancer victim is in stable condition, according to Prince George’s County police.
Cpl. Larry Johnson said the man was getting out of his car in Landover Hills when another man approached him, firing several shots at about 9:40 p.m. on the 4700 block of 68th Avenue
