Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro thanks Whoopi Goldberg and ‘The View’ for book sales surge

Fox News’ Jeanine Pirro thanked Whoopi Goldberg and the other ladies of “The View” for helping to make her book number one on the best-seller lists for Amazon and Barnes & Noble after a contentious interview.

“I do want to thank Whoopi and the ladies [of] ‘The View’ for helping to make my book No. 1 on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. So go out and get a copy if you haven’t already,” Pirro said on her Saturday evening program.

As of Sunday morning, Pirro’s book, Liars, Leakers, and Liberals: The Case Against the Anti-Trump Conspiracy, was still topping those lists.

Earlier in her opening monologue, Pirro hearkened back to her contentious appearance on the ABC talk show on Thursday. There to promote her new book, Pirro got into a heated clash with Goldberg, during which she accused the co-host of having “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” a phrase defenders of President Trump have said refers to a person who becomes hysterical over anything Trump does because of their dislike of the president.

Goldberg abruptly ended the Thursday interview, saying she was “done,” and Pirro claimed she was treated like “less than dirt” and cursed at.

But on her program Saturday, Pirro said she would be willing to return to “The View,” adding, “No one intimidates me.”

“Should I be angry? I suppose I should. But in the end this isn’t about me … This isn’t about me. There is a bigger issue of that play here. ‘The View’ is a microcosm of what’s going on in the country. The level of hatred toward the 45th president of the United States is beyond anything we have seen in American history,” Pirro said.
