Miles Harrison, the Purcellville father whose 21-month-old adopted Russian-born son died when Harrison allegedly left him in the back of his car in a Herndon parking lot, remained hospitalized Monday as Herndon police waited to formally charge him with manslaughter.
Chase Harrison was found dead hours after Miles Harrison was supposed to have dropped him off at day care. It seems, police and co-workers say, that Harrison forgot Chase was with him when he went into his office July 8.
According to co-workers, Harrison became alarmed and went flying from his desk at Project Solutions Group when someone asked him whether something was in his GMC Yukon. Harrison was distraught, and two co-workers attempted to revive the baby boy while waiting for paramedics, but it was too late.
The Harrisons had adopted Chase three months earlier after what was likely a lengthy process.
