Texas police have arrested a suspected shooter who allegedly killed one person and injured nine others at a Halloween party on Saturday night.
Keuntae McElroy, 21, was identified as the suspected shooter at the party in Texarkana, Texas. Though police obtained an arrest warrant for him, McElroy turned himself in Sunday morning and was arrested, Texarkana Police Department announced on social media.
“At least a couple hundred people” were in attendance at the party prior to the shooting. When police arrived, they encountered “a large number of people running from the building,” with several inside suffering from gunshot wounds, TPD stated.

McElroy was booked into jail for one count of felony aggravated assault. Additional charges are expected to be filed on Monday, according to TPD.
The 10 individuals injured during the shooting were transported to two hospitals via ambulance, police unit, and private vehicle. One victim died at the hospital, with the other nine suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

The identity of the deceased victim, 20, is unknown. Other details are being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
