The trailer for Michael Moore’s newest documentary about Donald Trump’s presidency, “Fahrenheit 11/9,” juxtaposes scenes from white supremacist rallies and Trump events with footage of Parkland, Fla., massacre survivors and Moore spraying Flint water at the Michigan governor’s house.
“How the fuck did this happen?” Moore says in the trailer released Thursday.
The title of the film plays off Moore’s 2004 documentary “Fahrenheit 9/11.” Trump was officially declared the next president of the United States on Nov. 9, 2016, a day after Election Day.
In the trailer, Moore can be seen interviewing socialist candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Parkland school shooting survivor-turned-gun control activist David Hogg.
Trump ally Roger Stone is also featured in the trailer. “Try to impeach him, just try it,” Stone says while speaking to TMZ in 2017. “You will have a spasm of violence in this country like you’ve never seen.”
Moore said in June he was releasing the documentary before the midterm elections in November in an effort to “bring Trump down.”
“Ladies and gentleman, the last president of the United States,” Moore concludes at the end of the trailer.
The documentary hits theaters Sept. 21.
