Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman is set to play former Secretary of State Colin Powell in an upcoming film.
Titled “Powell,” the biopic will revolve around Powell’s time in former President George W. Bush’s administration, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Powell, a retired four-star Army general, was the first African American secretary of state.
Freeman previously portrayed another prominent political figure in 2009’s “Invictus” as South African leader Nelson Mandela.
