Lowe’s CEO gets 2012 pay package valued at $12.1M

NEW YORK (AP) — The CEO of Lowe’s Cos. received a compensation package valued at $12.1 million in 2012, up 4 percent from the prior year.

Robert Niblock, 50, received a base salary of about $1.2 million, and the bulk of his pay package came from stock and option awards valued at $9 million on the date they were granted, according to a filing Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

He received a performance-based bonus of $1.7 million. He also received other compensation of $201,878 retirement plan contributions, reimbursement of tax compliance costs, $63,339 for personal use of corporate aircraft and other perks.

The AP’s calculation counts salary, bonuses, perks and stock and options awarded to the executive during the year.
