PHILADELPHIA — Donald Trump kept up his effort to woo Bernie Sanders supporters on Monday amid the upheaval within the Democratic National Convention over how Sanders was treated during the primary.
Trump argued Hillary Clinton had “betrayed” her rival by selecting a running mate who embraced many of the policies Sanders had fought to remove from the party’s platform.
Clinton betrayed Bernie voters. Kaine supports TPP, is in pocket of Wall Street, and backed Iraq War.

The Republican nominee has previously courted Sanders voters on the grounds that the system has always been “rigged” against him, a suspicion that was confirmed last week by Democratic National Committee emails published through WikiLeaks.
But the Trump campaign has intensified its pitch to progressives in the days since the leak. Republican Party Chairman Reince Priebus echoed criticisms of Sen. Tim Kaine as the “furthest thing from an olive branch” to Sanders supporters.
While Bernie has totally given up on his fight for the people, we welcome all voters who want a better future for our workers.

Sanders reportedly urged his supporters not to heckle speakers at the convention Monday as delegates shouted down the first few speakers who took the podium to praise Clinton.
