Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois said Monday it’s “hard to tell” who to believe between President Trump and former FBI Director James Comey when it comes to their recollections of conversations with each other.
“It’s hard to tell, and that’s why we need every iteration of information that’s going to include Comey, if [Attorney General Jeff] Sessions testifies tomorrow, that’s going to be essential, Robert Mueller’s investigation,” Kinzinger said on CNN when asked if he believes Comey’s statements on his interactions with Trump, or the president’s.

During testimony in open and closed sessions before the Senate Intelligence Committee last week, Comey detailed his conversations with Trump, including one during which the president encouraged Comey to end the FBI’s investigation into former national security adviser Mike Flynn.
The president, however, refuted the details of those discussions and said much of what the former FBI director said wasn’t true.
Kinzinger said Comey said a lot of “concerning things” during his testimony before the Senate panel last week, but said there is “a lot more information that needs to come out.”
